How is a promoted listing different from a sponsored listing on Allegro?
A promoted listing and a sponsored listing are two different things, even though the effect the buyer sees can look similar. Listing promotion, which Allegro calls Wyróżnienie, is something you buy upfront for a set period. You pay a fixed amount, and the listing gets a border and a higher position in its category, regardless of how many people click on it. A sponsored listing works differently. It runs on a separate system, Allegro Ads, which is billed per click (CPC). You set up the campaign, the daily budget and the maximum bid (yourself, or by outsourcing Allegro Ads campaign management), and you only pay when someone actually clicks on the ad.
In practice, Wyróżnienie is a simple “pay upfront” purchase, whereas sponsored listings are an auction system in which you compete with other sellers for a place in the results. You can combine the two.
What are the options for promoting listings on Allegro?
On Allegro, you can choose from four main forms of promotion: Wyróżnienie, sponsored listings, display advertising and additional tools such as Strefa Okazji (Allegro's deals section), coupons and coins. Each works on a different principle and comes at a different cost.
Wyróżnienie on Allegro – how much does it cost?
On Allegro, Wyróżnienie costs PLN 19.90 for a 10-day run, or PLN 2.90 a day in the flexible version. It gives your listing a coloured border and a higher position in the category results, with no bidding against competitors for clicks. It's the simplest form of promotion on Allegro. You switch it on straight from your seller panel, with no campaign set-up, no targeting and no CPC.
The flexible version is a good choice when you want to test whether a listing responds to promotion at all, because you can switch it off from one day to the next. The 10-day version works out cheaper per day (PLN 1.99 vs PLN 2.90), so it pays off for products you're planning to promote for longer anyway. Wyróżnienie has one limitation: it doesn't guarantee a click, only a better position. The rest is down to the listing itself, its photos and its price.
Sponsored listings (Allegro Ads) – how does pay-per-click promotion work?
Sponsored listings are billed on a CPC basis, which means you only pay for clicks, not for impressions alone. On 16 February 2026, Allegro raised its minimum CPC bids and began differentiating them by category. In Fashion and Beauty, the minimum bid is around PLN 0.45–0.55; in Electronics and Business & Services, it's PLN 0.65; and in niche categories such as Real Estate, it starts from as little as PLN 0.10. The minimum daily budget is PLN 3 if your ads run on Allegro only, or PLN 15 if you also show them on Google.
It's an auction-based tool: the higher your bid and the better matched your listing title, the higher your position. That's why, before you launch a campaign, it's worth refining your listing's title and parameters, as they determine which search terms your ad appears for. If you want to dig deeper, we've set out the entire Allegro Ads campaign set-up step by step in our separate guide to sponsored listings.
Display advertising on Allegro
Display advertising, also known as banner advertising, is billed on a CPM basis, meaning per thousand impressions rather than per click. CPM rates start at PLN 9 and go up to PLN 16, depending on the placement. The minimum daily budget is PLN 15. It comes into its own once you have an established range and want to build a brand, not just generate one-off sales. We recommend display advertising to our clients only when their sponsored listings are already converting well.
Strefa Okazji, coupons and coins – additional ways to promote listings
Besides Wyróżnienie and Allegro Ads, you also have tools that don't cost you anything directly per impression or click; instead, they reduce your margin on the transaction. Strefa Okazji is a section on Allegro's homepage that listings qualify for by meeting price conditions, usually a clear reduction compared with the previous price. Coupons and coins are discount mechanisms you set up yourself, e.g. “PLN 10 off orders of PLN 100 or more”.
These tools don't directly boost your position in search results, but they do improve conversion, because buyers are more likely to click on a listing with a visible discount. They work well for clearing slow-moving stock, or when you're launching a new product and need those first reviews.

How do you promote listings on Allegro step by step?
Start with sponsored listings, not with Wyróżnienie or Strefa Okazji. It's the only form of promotion that immediately gives you more than visibility: the real cost of acquiring a customer in your category. After a few days of running a campaign, you'll know what a click costs, what your conversion rate is and whether promotion adds up at all given your margin. Every other decision should follow from what you see in the market, not from a plan fixed in advance.
- Check your category as a buyer, not as a seller. Go to Allegro and browse the results as if you were looking for a product, not checking your seller panel.
- Count how many pages of results are taken up by promoted listings before the regular, organic ones appear. If it's 7–8 pages, that's a clear signal: in this category, without promotion your listing may not appear in front of buyers organically at all, no matter how well it's prepared.
- Run sponsored listings on a few products and gather your first data: cost per click, number of clicks, conversion rate. That's your benchmark for further decisions.
- Only on that basis should you decide on Wyróżnienie, Strefa Okazji or coupons. Each of them means an extra cost or a lower margin, so before you switch them on, ask yourself: is the goal to clear stock that's been sitting around, or to build the product's long-term position in the category? These are two different strategies calling for two different sets of tools, not a one-size-fits-all kit.
Wyróżnienie or sponsored listings – which pays off better when promoting on Allegro?
If you're just launching a product or don't yet know the cost of acquiring a customer in your category, start with sponsored listings. It's the only tool that tells you straight away what a click costs, what your conversion rate is and whether promotion makes sense at all given your margin. Wyróżnienie can't give you that, because you pay a fixed amount without any feedback.
If you already know your sales are working, but you've checked the category and can see that promoted listings take up the first few pages of results, that's a signal to add Wyróżnienie. Without it, you may not break through organically at all.
Does promotion on Allegro actually pay off?
Yes, and this isn't an “is it worth it?” kind of question. Without promotion, there are simply no sales on Allegro. It's not an optional extra; it's a cost of selling on the platform, just like commission or a subscription fee. Without Wyróżnienie, sponsored listings or other forms of promotion, in many categories your listing won't reach buyers organically at all, however well it's prepared.
The question that really makes sense is a different one: what percentage of your monthly revenue goes on promotion, and is that cost optimal? It's a metric you need to monitor regularly, not once a year. What matters is ongoing optimisation: cutting keywords and campaigns that generate clicks without sales, and shifting budget to where it actually converts.
Summary
The price list for promotion on Allegro is actually the least important number in the whole equation. The more important question is whether the listing you plan to promote is ready to sell once someone clicks. A PLN 19.90 Wyróżnienie and a PLN 0.65 click in Electronics are the cost of reaching a buyer, not the cost of a sale. What happens between the click and the purchase depends entirely on the listing itself: photos, price, description, reviews. That's why the most common mistake we see in the accounts of clients who come to us after “poor Allegro Ads results” isn't the wrong form of promotion, but switching it on for a listing that wouldn't have sold anyway.
