Selling on Erli: costs, what sellers say and real potential in 2026

Growing competition, higher advertising costs and shrinking margins mean that more and more businesses are looking for an additional channel to ease their reliance on Allegro and give their finances a little breathing space. In that search, one name keeps coming up: Erli. The Polish platform, which focuses on lower commissions and easier account management, particularly appeals to small and medium-sized sellers who are tired of rising entry costs elsewhere. The question, however, is whether it actually pays off or just looks good on paper. In this article, we take selling on Erli apart piece by piece: how much it costs, what other sellers say about it and who this channel genuinely makes sense for.

Erli is a Polish platform that attracts sellers with lower commissions and easier account management.

What is Erli and who should sell on the platform?

Erli is a Polish marketplace that launched in 2021 and focuses on low entry costs and simple account management. It is a good option for sellers looking for an additional sales channel alongside Allegro. The platform records around 9 million buyers a month and has more than 35,000 registered sellers, which makes it a genuine player, if still a smaller one than Allegro.

Erli works particularly well for sellers in categories such as home and garden, fashion, electronics or beauty, because that is where buyer traffic is highest. It performs less well in highly specialised niches, where there are simply too few buyers for sales to really take off. In practice, at Raise Your Sales, where we provide Erli account management, we treat the platform as a sensible extension of the sales channel portfolio, not as a foundation on which to build an entire business from scratch.

How much does selling on Erli cost in 2026?

In 2026, you can start selling on Erli without any fixed costs, because the entry-level Basic plan is free. The paid Erli Shop plan costs PLN 99.90 a month and gives you access to advanced promotional tools and better listing visibility, and the platform regularly runs promotions that bring this fee down to PLN 0 for the first month. On top of that comes the commission on sales, so the real cost depends mainly on your turnover rather than on the subscription itself.

You also need to factor in delivery costs if you don’t use ErliPRO or free shipping, because then delivery is not included in the commission base. It is one of the few platforms where you can sensibly optimise logistics right from the start, instead of only after several months of fighting for your margin.

What is the commission on Erli and how does it compare with Allegro?

The commission on Erli falls within a 10–15% range, depending on the product category, and is calculated on the product price plus the delivery cost chosen by the buyer, unless you use ErliPRO or free shipping. The minimum commission is PLN 0.15, so even on very cheap products the platform earns something from the transaction. That is similar to many categories on Allegro, but the difference comes down to the additional costs.

That’s because on Allegro there is a whole raft of extra fees: coins, Wyróżnienie (paid listing highlights), participation in campaigns such as Allegro Days, and so on. On their own, they seem minor, but added up at the end of the month they can surprise even an experienced seller. Working out the real cost of selling on Allegro can therefore be harder than it looks at first glance.

On Erli, things look different. There are far fewer extra charges of this kind, and the cost structure is easier to get your head around: commission, the Erli Shop subscription if you opt for it, and that’s it. One seller who has been on Erli since the platform launched reports that his combined commission and advertising costs do not exceed 17% of turnover, which shows that in a well-chosen category Erli can work out not only cheaper but, above all, easier to calculate.

What do sellers say about selling on Erli?

Seller opinions about selling on Erli are mixed and depend heavily on the category and on when they joined the platform. Some sellers praise the low start-up costs and the absence of listing fees, while others complain that traffic is still limited compared with Allegro. One seller in the comments frankly admitted that his sales on Erli came to around a fifteenth of what he was generating on Allegro and were lower than in his own online shop, which he doesn’t promote.

That doesn’t mean Erli doesn’t work. It means it works differently and calls for different expectations from the outset. Sellers who treat Erli as an additional channel alongside Allegro, rather than a replacement for it, rate the platform far more highly than those who were hoping to replicate Allegro’s scale somewhere new. At Raise Your Sales, we see a similar pattern among our clients: realistic expectations are the foundation of a successful entry into any new marketplace, whether we’re talking about Erli, Empik or any other platform that complements your main sales channel.

What do sellers praise most often?

Sellers most often praise the absence of a listing fee, the simple seller dashboard and the quick account set-up, which takes literally a few days, not weeks. They also appreciate the promotions for new accounts, such as the reduced commission for the first six months, because these let them test a category without much financial risk. For businesses that are only just getting into e-commerce, it is often the first marketplace where they can easily find their way around without prior experience.

What do they complain about most often?

The most common complaints concern buyer traffic, which is still limited compared with Allegro, especially in highly competitive categories where shoppers check the bigger platform first anyway. Some sellers also point out that the effects of promotions have to be monitored manually, because once the promotional period ends, the commission goes back to the standard rate and the margin can shrink overnight if nobody recalculates the numbers.

Erli or Allegro: is the Erli marketplace an alternative or just an add-on?

Today, the Erli marketplace is more of a valuable add-on to selling on Allegro than a fully fledged alternative to it. Allegro has far more traffic and brand recognition, so for most sellers in Poland it is still the first, non-negotiable stop. Erli works best as a second or third channel, once the Allegro side is already well organised and the business is looking for room to diversify its sales and reduce its dependence on a single platform.

At Raise Your Sales, this is exactly how we approach Erli for our clients: as a complement to the channel portfolio, not the foundation of the sales strategy. It’s a bit like a side income alongside your main job: it won’t replace it overnight, but it can genuinely take the pressure off your budget and make you more resilient to fluctuations in your main channel. Anyone expecting Erli to match Allegro’s scale straight away will be disappointed. Anyone who treats it as a sensible extension is usually happy with the results.

I’ve been following this platform myself for quite some time and can see how quickly it is growing. Year after year, Erli is playing an ever stronger hand against Allegro: more categories, more traffic, more mature tools for sellers. At first, it was easy to dismiss it as just another marketplace destined to remain a niche add-on forever. Today, it is a genuine dark horse of Polish e-commerce: a platform that has emerged from the crowd of smaller players and is ever more boldly staking its claim as the second marketplace that counts in Poland, alongside Allegro. And, frankly, it is worth taking seriously.

How do you start selling on Erli, step by step?

Selling on Erli starts with setting up a business account and passing verification, which usually takes a few working days. The whole process is straightforward and doesn’t require previous e-commerce experience, although of course experience makes it easier. Below you’ll find the full step-by-step path, from registration right through to your first customer reviews.

  1. Create a seller account and complete the verification of your business.
  2. Choose a plan: the free Basic plan or the paid Erli Shop plan with extended tools.
  3. Set up delivery and payments, ideally with ErliPRO or free shipping in mind.
  4. Publish your first listings, making sure you have good photos and specific product descriptions.
  5. Check the commission calculator for your category before you set your final prices.
  6. Take advantage of the promotion for new sellers if your turnover is within the limit.
  7. Collect your first customer reviews, because they are what builds trust in your listings.

Which products sell best on Erli?

The products that sell best on Erli are those in the home and garden, fashion, electronics, and beauty and health categories, because that’s where shoppers look for bargains and make purchasing decisions quickly. Children’s products also do well, that is, categories where price and fast delivery count for more than brand recognition.

Very niche or premium products fare worse, as buyers there expect a wide choice and plenty of reviews, and Erli simply doesn’t offer that yet on the scale of Allegro or Amazon. If you sell something unique and expensive, promoting that kind of product on Erli will be harder than on platforms with a larger base of buyers willing to pay more. Before you commit to a particular category, it’s worth checking the level of competition and the actual traffic, for example using the category statistics available on the platform. In practice, a simple rule works best: if a product does well in popular categories on Allegro, it will usually find its buyers on Erli too, just on a smaller scale.

Summary

Selling on Erli works when the seller treats it as what it really is: an additional channel, not a second Allegro. The low cost of entry and fair starting conditions make Erli a sensible testing ground for businesses that want to diversify their sales without taking on much financial risk. The problem only arises when someone expects Allegro-level traffic and brand recognition there. Erli simply doesn’t meet those expectations yet, and it won’t for a long time.
